Shower Floor

The general theme of the house seemed to be 70% completed projects. The master shower, for example, had been retiled in beautiful slate but the floor was cracked cement. We had a contractor come in and repour the cement base. We went to a tile store to try and find the same slate (with no luck) but did see a river rock type of tile that was awesome. It was also very expensive, $20 a squarefoot, or $300 for the floor of the shower. We ended up going to the landscape store and getting a bucket of river rock for $2.25. They weren't as flat or uniform as what we saw in the store but I think it turned out nice. It has yet to be seen if it will be nice to stand on. The only thing that is left is getting a glass door made. This has helped us realize the joy of living in a small town, the only glass shop doesn't keep to their posted hours.
